About PDF Forms
Fill existing interactive fields in a PDF, including text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns and radio choices. You can also flatten the filled form before saving. This covers applications, tax forms and contracts that were created as fillable PDFs.
How to use PDF Forms
- Choose a PDF that already contains fillable form fields.
- Complete the fields detected in the document.
- Optionally flatten them, then select Save filled PDF.
What to check
Flattening makes the completed field values part of the page rather than editable form controls. Keep an unflattened copy if you expect to make changes later. Flatten before sending when the recipient should not alter your answers.
Limitations
This tool fills existing form fields; it does not create new fields or automatically identify blank lines on a scanned form.
Frequently asked questions
Why are no fields detected in my PDF?
The document probably has no interactive fields — many forms are flat pages. Use Edit PDF to type text onto the page instead.
What does flattening do?
It merges your entries into the page so they can no longer be edited as form fields, which prevents accidental changes after you send the file.
Can I sign the form after filling it?
Yes. Save the filled form, then open it in Sign PDF to draw and place your signature.
